MTSU students have just finished a publication thats much more than a poster or class project. Its the latest edition of the literary and arts publication known as Collage.

In 2006 we celebrated Benjamin Franklin’s 300th birthday and MTSU has a special connection to this most versatile of our founding fathers. That connection is a working replica of the printing press that Franklin used to publish classics such as Poor Richard’s Almanack.

As more land is paved and developed, much of that water is diverted into concrete culverts and channels. This traditional approach to storm water flooding means that less water is stored in the ground and the runoff is often polluted. MTSU professor finds books for Jamaica

Last year, Professor Bill Whitehill, by chance, discovered a school in Montego Bay, Jamaica that had a library but no books. Whitehill set out to change that by rounding up more that 1200 pounds of books for the school. In the months since he has continued his efforts.

Ribbon is cut on MTSU Wellness Center

Officials recently cut the ribbon on the new Health and Wellness Center addition to the university’s existing Recreation Center. In addition to providing more space for student excercise and recreation, the new annex houses a complete Student Health Services Clinic.

Ed Evans, president of the MTSU student organization Students for Autism Awareness, is the father of two autistic boys. These parents say the disorder has created upheavals in their lives, but it has also brought unexpected blessings.
