Barfield Beach Party
Who said there were no beaches in Murfreesboro?
Officials with the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department want to prove that false at Barfield Crescent Park, where they will have a real beach party Friday at 5 p.m.
Before it is used throughout the park system, more than 60 tons of sand is utilized to create the beach. The beach party will feature music, dancing and a variety of games and activities, and people of all ages are invited to attend this free event.
