MURFREESBORO, TENN. — Middle Tennessee State rallied back against a shorthanded Govs bullpen to knock off Austin Peay 10-7 Wednesday night at Reese Smith Jr. Field.
The Blue Raiders used 14 hits, including four singles from cleanup hitter Trent Miller, who had two runs batted in. Shortstop Ryan Ford added a single and two sacrifice bunts to score men from third for a game-high three RBIs.
“The bottom line is we didn’t get enough holds,” Govs coach Gary McClure said.
