As Murfreesboro celebrates its Bicentennial, local historian Greg Tucker has compiled Bicentennial Notes highlighting important milestones in the city’s founding.
Two hundred years ago this month, William Lytle invited the seven town commissioners, and most of the other property owners in the West Fork/Lytle Creek section of Rutherford County, to his home for an outdoor feast.
