Congressional Candidate Lou Ann Zelenik Holds Free Barbeque Supper [Updated]

For two hours tomorrow, May 18, Sixth District congressional candidate Lou Ann Zelenik will hold a barbeque supper at Barfield Crescent Park, starting at 5:30 PM, as the official kick-off for her campaign.
Said the candidate, “this is the first of many events [her campaign is] holding all across the Sixth District to get the vote out” for the August 5 Republican Primary.
Currently facing a six-way race (of which Zelenik appears to be one of only three front-runners), as then-chairman of the Republican Party of Rutherford County, she released a flurry of press releases and interviews and then announced she was stepping down as chairman to run against incumbent Democrat Bart Gordon. He announced his retirement in October.
Zelenik also organized last year’s Tax Day Tea Party on the Murfreesboro Square which garnered a crowd of over 3,000 people, a fact which is certain not to go un-noticed in this year’s campaign.
